American University Business Law Review (AUBLR) extends most offers to students who compete in the spring Write-On Competition. AUBLR may also extend invitations to students who transfer to the Washington College of Law and compete in the fall Transfer Write-On Competition.
You are eligible to compete in the spring Write-On Competition if:
- you are a first-year full-time or part-time student at WCL
- you are a second-year part-time student who has not participated in previous write-on competitions at WCL and did not attempt to grade on to a journal after your 1L year
If you are a transfer student, you are eligible to compete in the fall Transfer Write-On Competition in the year that you transfer to WCL if:
- you are a second-year full-time or part-time student
- you are a third-year part-time student
Both the spring Write-On Competition and the fall Transfer Write-On Competition require participants to complete a case note that analyzes a legal question using materials provided to them by AUBLR. The law review extends invitations to students who write case notes that demonstrate excellent legal analysis, organization, style, and endnote development.
